Marcus Haase - Partner

Marcus Haase is an experienced lawyer and partner at MHR Lewis. He studied law at the Free University of Berlin and completed his legal clerkship in both Berlin and Marbella, Spain. Since being admitted to the Berlin Bar in 2005, he has pursued a distinguished career and has international experience from Madrid, Spain and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

After entering the profession, Mr. Haase worked at the Berlin law firm Manke & Haase Rechtsanwälte from 2005 to 2010, where he was already intensively involved in sports law in addition to commercial law. From 2008 to 2009, he was leading the legal and administrative ressort at the 12th IAAF World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, where he contributed his expertise in sports and event law to the success of this major sporting event.

Since 2010, Mr. Haase has been a partner at MHR Lewis, where he plays a key role in legal advice and structuring. His expertise spans various areas of law, including general civil and commercial law, sports law, national and international contract law as well as copyright and event law.

Mr. Haase advises commercial enterprises and agencies, top (sports) associations and corporations as well as entrepreneurs, athletes and private individuals.

As a lawyer, Mr. Haase is also involved in the legal community. From 2019 to 2023, he was Deputy Chairman of the Sports Law Specialist Lawyers' Committee at the Berlin Bar Association, where he was actively involved in the further development and promotion of this specialist field.
